I have had an angel experience.
The angel did not have any wings, was male, gave me peace beyond understanding, joy and bliss. Without any verbal communication in a time of deep despair I knew telepathically that all I had to do was touch the angel for complete and utter peace.
I am a very sane, 53 year old ordinary wife, mother and grandmother.
This has given me a sense of the belief that we are spirit beings having a human experience.

I like the answer if ifnit doesent have a direct relationship with our salvation, then I suppose it really doesn’t matter. We known there is a lot of symbolism in the scriptures primarily the old testament, but Christ always spoke in parables. Perhaps because visual imagery has a tendency fit deeper learning. If Christ is a resurrected being, and also “the first fruits”, why couldn’t angels be resurrected beings also? Christ did break the bands of death thru the resurrection. I would suppose that Angels could be either spiritual or physical. That they can transform themselves into something that is not in the image of God doesn’t make much sense. The adversary can appear as an angel of light 2 Corinthian 11:14, But I don’t see in the scriptures where angels of God transform themselves into anything outside of our image. Acts 12:7 suggest that light is apparent in the presence of angel as described when Peter was released from prison, but to suggest Angels are only spirit and transform themselves into images other than God doesn’t seem correct. I might be wrong. Angels are to help not only carry on the work of the kingdom, but also us individually. I have had deep impression of family members that have passed on influence me in dire times. Is this ministering? Why couldn’t our love ones who care deeply for us, even those that we have not met take a role in our making good decisions, I appreciate the discussions and comments.

Matt, a very good study overall. Just to add a few things…
Ex. 23:21 may be a reference to the angel of the Lord. If in Scripture we have a reference to “the angel of the Lord” and that angel accepts worship, then that angel is clearly deity, i.e. Jesus Christ appearing in angelic form.
Angels are individually created, while human beings are a race; we all are Adam’s offspring.
Probably for good reason, the Bible gives the names of only a few angels.
As Linda Lou mentioned above, the book of Revelation does not describe the angels it mentions as having wings.
In Revelation 10:1-3 the “strong angel” is described much like the “one like a son of man” in Rev. 1:13 and following; both have glowing burning feet, one has eyes like a flame of fire and the other has a face like the sun, etc. “A loud voice as when a lion roars” (see Rev. 5:5) are all characteristics of Jesus Christ. Hence this may be Christ again appearing as the Angel of the Lord.
The four living creatures we find in Revelation are distinct from the angels. The four living creatures bear many characteristics of deity, and therefore may be manifestations of deity.
While cults like the Jehovah’s Witnesses reject the doctrine of the Trinity, the truth is that God is not limited even to the Trinity in expressing and manifesting His deity.
Rev. 12:14 mentions “the two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman, (Israel)”. Here the two wings may be a reference to an air lift, a plane or planes will be used to take Israelis to a safe place as Satan is behind an effort to exterminate the Jewish race during the great tribulation.

I have searched for an answer. God want us to learn more so our faith will grow stronger. Do angels have eternal life?Or do they die and be reborn?

Reading in Revelation where there are many mentions of angels, and John is describing EVERYthing – not one mention of wings. I looked thru my online bible and typed in angel and wing and “0 results found” but pulled up multiple for cherubim and wings. Cherubim have 2 wings and seraphim have 6 wings: 1 Kings 8:7 KJV For the cherubims spread forth their two wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof above.. Isaiah 6:2 KJV Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly .

Malachi 4:2 says “But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth , and grow up as calves of the stall” This refers to the robe which had on each corner a tzit-tzit is tied. It is understood that when the woman who bled for 12 years reached out and touched the garment of the Master, that it was the tzit tzit that she grabbed. It is recorded several times that people simply wanted to touch the hem of the Master’s garment to find healing, for there is healing in His wings …. not literal wings and we do not grow up to be calves

@Brian – I don’t think we have physical wings as I see no evidence for this in the scripture or in reality.

@Mark – Jesus and God are two different beings (for example see Mark 13:32 – if Jesus was the Father how is it he didn’t know what the other part of him knew?!) You might also want to read this article: http://www.the-gospel-truth.info/bible-teachings/god-unity-or-trinity/

@Caroline – where is your scripture for anything you are saying? When you say “Angels are souls created by God.” for example where in the Bible are you basing this on?

Your statement about angels with wings… Angels dont need or really have bodies. If they dont have bodies, then why would they have wings? Angels are usually depicted with wings, but they dont really need them. Angels are souls created by God. We were not created in the form of angels. God created us in the form of Himself. Not Angels. Angels are just pure spirits or souls. If we were created in the form of Angels then we would look like their divine forms. Angels are spirits so if God creaed men like Angels, then we would be able to change what we look like. From a floating bal of light to a human with wings.

Your statement…If the question were asked – where exactly did these “ministering spirits” come from, we would have to answer honestly; that the Bible is mainly silent on this account.

You lost me hear. The Bible is clear angels were created ..all things where created by Christ ..for he is God

The bible alludes to God as having wings and we were created in the image of God. Could it be that we have “wings” that we can’t see and have no idea how to use but if we did, they would carry us to greater heights than we have ever known, providing these ” wings” were yeilded to God who created them for a particular purpose.
