War in the Middle East The Bible Solution

May 10th, 2011

The recent unrest in a number of Middle East countries is sending shock waves throughout the world. As Britain and other nations prepare their war machines to help the Libyan rebels in their fight against Colonel Gaddafi, many are fearful that the UK will be dragged into another full-scale conflict, which could have far-reaching consequences.

This podcast of an illustrated talk by Bernard Burt examines the current world events from the perspective of Bible prophecy. It demonstrates that God has a purpose with the world, and that the turmoil that we see in the world today is the prelude to the establishment of the Kingdom of God on earth. It will also explain how our personal salvation is connected with these events.

The Doctrine of the Trinity is held as a key belief by many Christians today. In this Podcast we examine if this is a Bible teaching and why it matters so much to have a correct understanding on this subject.

Podcast: The Bible & the Papacy

September 20th, 2010

I’m pleased to announce a special Podcast “The Bible & the Papacy”. Contained within the Podcast are two special lectures which were organised by the Christadelphians to coincide with the Popes visit to Great Britain. We felt that this was such an historic event it was worth taking some time to examine the validity of the Papacies claims in the light of Bible teaching.

Is the Papacy the head of the church?

In the first part of the Podcast Mark Allfree talks on the subject “Is the Papacy the head of the church”. He deals with the claim of Papal infallibility and what the Bible teaches about the Catholic Church in regards to Prophecy.

Bible teaching or Church tradition?

In the second part it was my (Matt Davies) duty to look at the topic “Bible teaching or Church tradition?”. In this section we look at what Church Tradition is, how the church has protected that tradition down through time and also what the Bible teaches about authority.

We hope you will enjoy these lectures and you find them informative.

Podcast: What do Christadelphians believe?

July 15th, 2010

“Christadelphian” is a name given to a community of believers who take the Bible as their sole source of authority. They preach the same distinct and unique gospel which was once preached by the first century followers of Jesus Christ. What are their beliefs and why are they relevant? An overview of the Christadelphians and what they believe is presented in this Podcast, a recording of a lecture given in Nottingham by Mr Tecwyn Morgan in April 2010.

Podcast – Is God a Delusion? A Response to Dawkins

November 9th, 2009

goddelusion

Richard Dawkins has become the leading advocate of aggressive atheism, suggesting in his book ‘The God Delusion’ that those who believe in God are not only misguided but also dangerous and deluded.

He also claims that the evidence for evolution is overwhelming. In this Podcast entitled ‘Is God a Delusion?’ John Botten (Christadelphian) takes a critical look at the core assumptions of Dawkins’ beliefs about God and the theory of evolution in the context of the 150th anniversary of the publication of Charles Darwin’s ‘Origin of Species’ and looks at Biblical alternatives.
